What is Management  and do I need it?

We are glad that you have decided to read on so now is the time to see what management can do for you.

The main purpose of taking on a manager is to give yourselves space to be an artist. We know that management functions are labour and time intensive for any band and that they get in the way of you developing your music and so it is our role to relieve you of the burdens of day to day management.

                                                         Your managers role is roughly defined as follows:

           - To guide and help you to develop your image, music and career
           - To manage your business affairs
           - To look for and arrange gigs for you
           - To look for promotional opportunities for you
           - To market you and to 'sell' you record companies, publishing companies and venues.
           - To work with and alongside other industry professionals such as record companies, lawyers, accountants, promoters and agents.
           - To through their best efforts, promote you to maximise your opportunity and earnings

                              The main role of the manager is therefore to represent you in all aspects of the entertainment industry.

                                                                   You can expect your manager to have;

             - Knowledge of the music industry
             - Negotiation skills
             - Business skills
             - Skills to promote you
